The last two days we've been giving you tips on holiday shopping, and so far we've told you all about hi tech toys and video games. We're going low tech, and relatively inexpensive so join us on a trip to the bookstore.

"They're not just a one time gift, you can read 'em over and over again, you can share them, you get lost in a book and it transports you some place totally different," says Maribeth Ernst of Barnes & Noble.

So here's a look at gifts for the read in your life.

"Deceptively Delicious is by Jessica Seinfeld and its simple secrets to get your kids eating good food. That sounds like a no brain-er but with all the fast food and so forth, its sometimes hard to get kids to wanna eat things that are good for 'em," says Ernst.

You can also buy the Secret, a new age self help book.

"This is about the law of attraction about the thoughts that you put out there are what you bring back to you. Financial success or relationship success, whatever that is, whatever's important to you," added Ernst.

Or take a historical look back, with 1776.

"The publishers have reproduced the paper to where its almost identical to the originals and this is just filled with different documents from our history," says Ernst.

There's also a Harry Potter collection, all the books are hardcover, and they come in a cool treasure chest. Take a look at these illustrations, there's plenty of kids books to choose from as well. And who could forget the series planet earth, now in book form and on DVD.

"This is the number one selling video in our store," added Ernst.

And if you can't find the right book, you can always give gift cards. Now don't forget, there are just two days left for the Channel 3 Gift Guide, on Thursday we take a look at electronic gadgets.
