Monday was a holiday which means Lakesha Clay enjoyed a nice day off from school. I randomly called her house while she was watching "The Price is Right."

"I was pretty excited and it was awkward cuz no one has asked me to do this before," says Lakesha Clay.

But today was Lakesha's day to shine. Before she left for Clair E. Gale, we talked about her typical day.

Lakesha is tumbling and flipping her way thru junior high. Just this year, she started gymnastics.

"I got placed last week at my 3rd meet. I was pretty excited about that," says Lakesha.

Not bad for a first-timer. In our little chat, Lakesha told me she's a huge Jack Black fan.

"How many times have you seen Nacho Libre," asks Tommy Noel. " I can't even count. It's like we watch that movie everyday," responds Lakesha.

When she's not watching Nacho Libre you may find her practicing on the piano or singing. Recently, she sang the National Anthem before a basketball game, a true test to her nerves.

"What was it like to stand in front of all those people," asks Tommy. "Oh! You don't even know. It was so nerveracking. I can't even explain. It was awkward," replies Lakesha.

But now since she's been on TV, seen by thousands, I'm sure she will overcome the fear next time she has to sing. As for the future..

"I wanna go to college and graduate and become a surgeon," says Lakesha.

With talents of singing, piano, and gymnastics, and a goal of entering the medical field, this 14-year-old definitely has a story.
