Event Description

Fundraiser for the Shelley High Girls Basketball Team. Check out the homes located in Shelley and surrounding areas. The homes range from being brand new to a few years old. There will be 8 to 10 homes to see. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased and the door of any home or from a girl basketball player.

Idaho law allows state agencies to divert some state income tax refunds to pay legal obligations like court fees, child support, and sheriff's garnishments. Taxpayers whose refunds have been diverted have no legal recourse. What do you think of the law?

  • Times are tight. If the state needs the money, this approach is better than budget cuts, tax hikes, etc.
  • I'm entitled to the refund, and the state can just take it? Unfair and ridiculous.
