Event Description

Would you like to find unique treasures (maybe some Christmas Gifts?!), eat a great meal and also help support Southeast Idaho’s only non-profit, Creative-Acting Elementary School? Come to the Annual Franciscan Cre-Act School's "Chair"-ity Auction event that will take place the evening of Saturday, November 7th. The fun-filled evening includes a live auction moderated by professional auctioneer Arnold Callison. He will auction off approximately 25 themed chairs with fantastic items from local businesses and organizations. There will also be a silent auction, numerous door prizes and a dinner catered by Juniper Hills Country Club (6600 South Bannock Highway). The fun starts at 5 pm with socializing and viewing followed by the live auction beginning at 7:00 pm. Cost is only $15 per person and the proceeds will be used to purchase supplies and materials for the school where the guiding educational philosophy places a strong emphasis on the performing arts. This event is one of only two major fundraisers held per year with their full length play being the second. Master Card and Visa will be accepted. If you have any questions, want to pre-purchase tickets or wish to donate items for the auction, please call the school- 233-4747.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
