Event Description

This year we will celebrate World GIS Day on Wednesday November 18th in the ISU Rendezvous Complex Conference Rooms. There will be presentations, hands-on GIS stations, food, a trivia contest, and a host of raffle items, so join us for a fun-filled day to learn about Geographic Information Systems!
The ever-popular GIS Day Chili Cook-off will be back for the fifth year running. If you would like to enter a pot of chili for a chance to win prizes and GIS day fame, contact Keith Weber at webekeit@isu.edu. If you would just like to sample the delicious fare and vote for your favorite, join us for the lunch on GIS Day. Cornbread and drinks will also be provided.
The ISU Geospatial Club will be hosting a student track again this year during GIS Day. Topics will pertain to GIS, GPS, remote sensing applications and research. Information will also be available on ASPRS (American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) student memberships. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the student club, so come support the club for a chance to win!
