By Todd Kunz

Ian Parker joined the Eyewitness News team in August 2009. After growing up in Beaverton, Oregon, he attended the University of Oregon in Eugene, where he majored in broadcast journalism.

Ian is a man who loves a good laugh, preferably combined with good food and friends. His hobbies include cooking, running, and watching old action movies. You can also find him perusing local bookstores for a good read. Also, anyone who thinks they can beat Ian at Star Wars Trivial Pursuit is welcome to try.

As a reporter, producer, and weekend weathercaster, Ian does a little bit of everything at KIDK. His goal is to become a reporter in Portland, Oregon. It's not that he doesn't enjoy weathercasting, he just knows he'll never be able to grow a mustache as magnificent as Steve Cannon's.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
