Nate Eaton
Nate Eaton began working for Channel 3 Eyewitness News in January 2005. He has since filed over 500 stories – covering almost everything imaginable. He is the only full-time TV reporter to live and work in the Upper Valley of Eastern Idaho.
Nate has lived in the area for over six years and now considers Eastern Idaho home. He was born in Ohio and raised in West Jordan, Utah. While in elementary school, Nate met a KSL TV reporter and instantly became interested in broadcast news. Nate graduated from BYU-Idaho where he actively participated in the university's radio and TV news programs. He also worked as an intern at KUTV 2News in Salt Lake and spent two years in Brisbane, Australia as a missionary for the LDS Church. He hopes to return to Australia one day and work as a journalist there. Nate has received four Idaho Press Club Awards, including the 2006 "Rookie Reporter of the Year" award. He was recently honored with a "Special Coverage" award for uncovering and exposing the controversial shooting of a dog by a sheriff's deputy. When Nate's not rushing to the next big story, you'll probably find him doing the things he loves…like running (has competed in several races including the Teton Dam Marathon), playing the piano or guitar, reading, hanging out with friends, or sipping on a Jamba Juice (Berry-Lime Sublime…the best!). Nate says the best part of the job is meeting new people . So, if you have any story ideas or just want to say 'hi', please email him at natee@kidk.com. |
