Wes was born and raised in Sandy, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah in December of 2007. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Electronic Journalism. While in college he worked as a reporter, and anchor for the University's weekly news program, Newsbreak.

Wes honed many of his writing and reporting skills while at KSL NewsRadio in Salt Lake City. There he started as an intern and quickly became an associate producer for the morning, noon, and afternoon news shows. While at KSL Wes learned how much he loved the stress and excitement of a busy newsroom when news breaks.

In his free time Wes enjoys spending time with his wife and family. Specifically, he loves when everyone gets together to play board games all night long. He also likes to go on bike rides during the summer, and to play basketball.

Wes is excited to be in Southeastern Idaho, and to report the news.
